Synopsis (from Goodreads):
What happens when in order to win, you’re forced to lose?

The only daughter of an infamous Las Vegas pimp, Raven Morretti grew up an outsider. Liberated from the neglectful home of her prostitute mother, she finds solace as a mechanic. With few friends, she’s content with the simple life. Flying under the radar is all she knows and more than she expects.

Until she catches the eye of local celebrity, UFL playboy, Jonah Slade. Weeks away from his title fight, Jonah is determined to stay focused on everything he’s trained so hard to achieve. Undefeated in the octagon, he’s at the height of his career. But resisting Raven’s effortless allure and uncomplicated nature is a fight he can’t win.

Jonah trades in his bad-boy reputation and puts his heart on the line. But when her father contacts her, setting in motion the ugly truth of her destiny, Jonah must choose. In a high-stakes gamble where love and freedom hang in the balance, a war is waged where the price of losing is a fate worse than death.

Will the hotheaded Jonah be able to restrain his inner fighter to save the woman he loves?

Or will Raven be forced into a life she’s been desperate to avoid?

My Review:
Shit man this story was great it was so interesting, Raven’s mother is a bloody Prostitute and her father is her pimp. What can you say to that? And then they have Raven. Raven’s father Dominic has got a purpose for this and he is, Shit he is the worst/veil/evil and grossest villain ever, I hated him just for what he is and for what purposed to Raven. But he definitely keeps the story interesting. Really his own flesh and blood….I soooooooo hate hate his guts!!!

Raven is amazing, she grows up with a mother who doesn’t really want her. And a father she doesn’t know (man that is a good thing) and yet she manages to be the best person she is. She works for Guy her high school shop teacher at his car garage as a mechanic, he is more of a father figure to her then her own Biological father and he Guy is such a great man. She lives above his shop in a little flat/studio. One while working a truck pulls up, she can tell just by the make and model all from the sound. Guy haulers for her to come help, and next thing you know she knows she’s staring into the beautiful gray eyes of the Assassin UCF fighter Jonah Slade.

Immediately you can sense the electric pull these 2 have. Jonah is hot sexy and has major women issues. It was fun watching how he reacted to these issues and overcome his fears, man he made me laugh. He is really an amazing guy, and how he treats Raven is perfection. Raven is a wonderful, beautiful character I loved watching her grow in her confidence. She was a strong confident woman before Jonah but with him you will see that confidence just bloom into something even more beautiful. Jonah is like the warm hot balm to her lifelong pain and loneliness. When they are together it is amazing, hot and sexy!!!!

They definitely have their ups and their blood downs, but they are magical when they realize how much they love each other. They do have to deal with her father which puts Jonah in a compromising situation, and what will he do. But man this story has twist and turns that no-one would ever see coming. In fact I could believe the one, YIKES!!! Well done really. I enjoyed absolutely every minute of reading it didn’t and couldn’t put it down.
