My review:

What a surprise Luck on the Line was. It makes me a very happy reader. NA is a hard genre. With it being a somewhat new genre and one that is very popular, it is of course being flooded with books. Which makes me a little weary when I pick a new title and/or a new author. There is a lot of crap out there. But thankfully there's books like Luck on the Line in there that keeps me coming back again and again. NA is really starting to become my comfort genre. There's such a wide range from fluff to the darker stuff. It's good for any mood. Luck on the Line falls more towards the lighter side. It's not fluff. It's just a fun and heartwarming read. But be warned, do not read this book on an empty stomach. It's going to make you hungry either way, just maybe have some snacks ready.

Lucky as a character is very refreshing. She’s not written to be perfect. She’s had a hard past that she’s struggled with and has never finished anything in her life. Lucky’s journey throughout this book is stepping up to the challenge her mom presented her with. She is witty and confident, despite having not finished what she’s started in the past. My favorite part about her is that she gives zero shits about how she looks. It is so great to read a character like that when we live in a world where we feel the need to look our best 24/7.

And James. *sighs* He cooks. He’s just as amazing as the other love interests in New Adult books except this guy can cook. If that’s not perfection, I’m not sure what is. Haha. Cooking aside, James is so unbelievably driven to get this restaurant up and running because he has a past he’s not proud of too. He is equal parts attractive and snide jerky-ness that we probably wouldn't go for in real life because they’re bound to break our heart, but we just love reading about it.
