Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Mariella Teagen hasn't spoken a word in four years.

She pledged her voice to Orane, the man she loves—someone she only sees in her dreams. Each night, she escapes to Paradise, the world Orane created for her, and she sings for him. Mariella never believed she could stay in Paradise longer than a night, but two weeks before her eighteenth birthday, Orane hints that she may be able to stay forever.

Hudson Vincent made a pledge to never fight again.

Calease, the creature who created his dream world, swore that giving up violence would protect Hudson. But when his vow caused the death of his little brother, Hudson turned his grief on Calease and destroyed the dream world. The battle left him with new abilities and disturbing visions of a silent girl in grave danger—Mariella.

Now, Hudson is fighting to save Mariella's life while she fights to give it away. And he must find a way to show her Orane’s true intentions before she is lost to Paradise forever

My Review:
Beneath is the world that we now as the hidden “dreamworld” that promises us peace, control and everything that we have ever wanted in exchange for something else. But for Hudson it was fighting. He had real talent and when someone who he thought was an angel made him make a promise not to fight again, and that choice cost him a life of his brother. But finding out that “dreamworld” is full of demons who steal children’s talents and make them all believe that paradise is where they need and want to be.

Now that Hudson is looking to close at all of the portals and stops demons from taking anymore teenagers before their eighteenth birthday and make them slip into a coma, when he sees a mysterious girls in his dreams he knows he has to help her. But even if it means moving across the country and trying to communicate with her after she has taken a vow four years ago no to speak ever again.

I can’t stop thinking about this book because this is the book that makes you have a book hangover, nothing would compare to it honestly, and it takes a different concept of fantasy and demons idea and puts them into a world of dreams and war between good and evil. It even has horror, sci-fi, paranormal and romance, every detail is intertwined together which makes the story flow with ease and is just asking you beg for more. I can’t wait for the next installment to this series, book was amazing.
